Quick tip: link the Play mode from Unity to Oculus Quest 2 via Oculus software.

In this quick tutorial, we will focus on making your Oculus Quest 2(or say, Meta Quest 2 now) can play your game project in Play mode.

First, you need to make sure you have already installed Oculus software.

Air Link with Oculus software

Go to https://www.oculus.com/setup/ to download the software and install it.

Follow the installation guide to finish it. Then open the software and log-in with your Oculus(Facebook) account.
Select Settings from the side menu and go to Beta, then find the Air Link and enable it.

That would be all the settings on PC. Now turn on your Meta Quest 2.

Enable Air Link on Quest 2

In your Quest 2, go to Settings> Experimental Features> enable Air Link.

And now you can connect the Quest 2 to PC with type-c cable or wifi.
If you connected successfully, it should reveal “Active” in Oculus software.

The last step would be into Air Link mode in Quest 2 with PC.

Play your game project in Play mode

In Quest 2, click on the Quick Settings on the bottom left of pop up menu.

Then click the very right section to start Air Link.

Once you entered the Air Link mode, you can start Play mode in your project.

The Oculus software will automatically into your game project. With everything works great, you should be able to play your game now!
